During hard cornering, braking and high-speed driving, engine oil surges to one side of the pan and can momentarily starve the oil pickup. The baffle plate controls this oil movement, keeping oil around the pickup so oil pressure and lubrication stay stable under sustained high G-loads - essential protection for circuit driving. |
