The mold covered with bripreg (carbon woven into a cloth and soaked in resin) is placed in a heat-resistant resin bag, and the air is removed to create a vacuum, so that it adheres to the mold. The product is then baked in an autoclave (a pressurized heating oven) under pressure, transforming it into a stronger carbon product. It is approximately 4.9 kg lighter than the original steel plate material. It also has comparable strength.
