Regarding this FK8, it is necessary to improve the cooling performance not only for the thermostat, sports coolant and aero parts, but also for the total cooling performance, and improving the heat exchange performance of the radiator is a big point of improving the cooling performance.
J'S RACING has been conducting radiator tests and prototypes for a long time, but we have adopted the triple turn type in search of specifications that exceed the conventional aluminum radiator.
The position of the cooling water on the OUT side has been changed and redesigned so that heat exchange can be performed evenly over the entire area.
The design has inevitably increased the number of parts and costs, but it was an unavoidable decision to lower the average water temperature even once.
As a result of a comparative test at the Suzuka Circuit International Racing Course using our demo car, the water temperature during the 6 laps including INOUT was -25 °C at maximum, and the water temperature was -15 °C on average. It was also confirmed that the ascending speed decreased and the water temperature decreased speed increased. (* 1, * 2)
By stabilizing the water temperature, you can obtain various merits such as power down by the high water temperature correction of the ECU, prevention of deterioration of fuel consumption, and engine protection.
